For a client of ours, a financial brokerage company with focus on Forex, CFDs and Spread Betting, we are currently looking for а very well organized, passionate and innovative candidate to join their team as an Android Developer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review business requirements and functional design specifications.
• Write clean, readable, modular code and proactively write unit and integration tests.
• Develop simple solutions to support changing business requirements.
• Work with external data sources and APIs.
• Work on bug fixing and improve application performance.
• Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Android development.
• Strong knowledge in OOP, design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
• Multi-threading and memory management, specific to mobile devices.
• Experience working in Scrum teams and good understanding of Agile concepts.
• Experience with a distributed version control system.

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE CONSIDERED AS ADVANTAGE:
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute as part of a team.
• Experience and ability to collaborate across Product, Design, Engineering and QA teams.
• Experience with test-driven development (Junit, Mockito, Espresso, Roboelectric).
• Familiarity with open source libraries (Dagger, OkHttp, Retrofit, Protocol Buffers).
• Working level of English language.
