California based enterprise is looking for Software Development Project Manager


Job description

The Software Development Project Manager plays a key role in leading multiple concurrent projects to completion and delivering high quality business solutions on time. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adjust a project management methodology to initiate, plan, execute, control and close out projects. The Project Manager will work on small, medium and large projects and cover a wide range of solutions including, but not limited to, software development, application integration and process improvement.

Duties:

• Responsible for the enterprise Software Development Project Management:
• Provide leadership that involves the team(s) in decision making and create a collaborative environment and framework to accomplish goals
• Provide project timelines and testing support
• Manage application development projects and programs
o Develop scope of work
o Work with team to define deliverables
o Define and manage project schedules
o Determine and control project costs
o Work with team to validate deliverables
• Ensure project documentation is maintained and properly updated
• Support the implementation of strategic planning and initiatives through project delivery
• Oversee projects with third party contractors
• Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of project management experience is required as well as proven experience managing software product implementations to successful completion

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of software architecture, development, integration and support
• Strong working knowledge of application development processes in a web based environment
• Ability to formulate project plans using feedback from multiple stakeholders
• Ability to manage expectations and the communication of changes to critical path status
• Ability to follow and enforce a defined process while helping to identify process improvements
• Drive project to be on time, on budget with the highest quality possible while keeping the team together
• Experience in Agile development methodologies (Expert level desired)
• Familiar with DevOps principles
• Familiar with web and mobile application development
• Experience with data integration and migration
• Experience leading and guiding teams on application architecture, coding, code reviews, test plans, deployments and operations
• Ability to work with teams as well as independently with little oversight
• Self-directed with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and trends
