Position Title: Data Warehouse Architect - BI team

We are currently looking for a Data Warehouse Architect. This exiting position is about designing and developing our next generation platform Data Warehouse while guiding and supporting the BI team on requirements gathering, data models design, development and build & deployment of best practices in class CICD & DevOps methodologies. The Data Warehouse Architect is dedicated on ensuring that the Data Warehouse architecture is fit for purpose to supports our self-service product needs.

Responsibilities:
Model the data (both, Kimball & Inmon) from sources though to target state – creating logical and physical data models, dimensions and fact design
Identify, validate and profile new data sources to enhance the BI reporting capabilities while working closely with our product teams responsible for those data sources
Work with other BI development teams (data modelers, data SMEs and developers) to confirm that requirements are understood and translated into development build items
Input into the enterprise understanding of that data and how it is used – such as design patterns (canonical data models), data lineage, data dictionaries, user metric guides, and liaise accordingly with stakeholders
Challenge on how the data should be used from an enterprise perspective, and take a “data stewardship” attitude to our corporate data
Support management on special projects and proposals
Traveling outside Bulgaria, when projects require

Requirements:
Extensive knowledge in Data Warehouse modeling techniques
Strong SQL experience, coupled with strong general scripting skills - familiarity of storage of JSON/XML objectives very advantageous
Experience with large transactional data volumes in low latency environments and the types of solutions that support these in data warehousing and reporting contexts
Appreciation of all aspects of BI – from business requirements down to front end reporting tool set all the way through to back end databases and source systems
Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skill
Strong analytical and numerical skills, demonstrable understanding of data
Ability to define test criteria and scenarios to development teams favorable
