We are looking for Mid-Level WordPress Developer to join one of our clients in Sofia. You will be working with a team of talented developers who work in WordPress every day including custom theme development, in-house plugin development, dashboard enhancements and more.You need to be up to speed and knowledgeable about the most recent WordPress releases and coding standards. Our client hosts a variety of large-scale multi-language WordPress sites with complex, but refined infrastructures, visited by over 10 million visitors annually.
Technical Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in custom PHP development
• 3+ years of experience working in WordPress and developing custom themes
• Thorough knowledge of WordPress, PHP, and MySQL
• Experience building WordPress sites from scratch and using child themes
• Experience building custom dashboard pages using custom field plugins such as ACF or CMB2
• Some experience working with PHP classes and a basic understanding of OOP
• An understanding of version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Perforce
Personal Requirements
• Strong communication skills with proficiency in verbal and written English
• Experience working as part of a remote team
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
Front-End Requirements:
• Display a comfortable working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
• Usage of objects, functions, and semi-complex variable scopes
• Code interaction with a JSON/JSONP feed or API
Responsibilities:
• Update and maintain in-house WordPress plugins and themes
• Debug and solve complex WordPress tasks
• Migrate non-WordPress sites into a multisite installation
• Perform and test WordPress maintenance items by upgrading plugins and core files when needed
• Write documentation for any new features you develop
• Identify and report bugs or feature enhancements in JIRA
• Code review the work of other developers
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 3pm-11pm
