Due to expanding their business together with our client we are looking for a person to join their team as a:
TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER
As a Technical Support Engineer you will be the primary support person for company products on their international sites. On this positions you have to be fine with often travels out of the country about 2 weeks per month.
Main Responsibilities:
- Technical support to clients;
- Apply integration system upgrades, hardware and software installations;
- Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues after clients requests;
- Follow-up on customer service requests, tracking problems and solving them;
- Implement hardware and software resolutions and approved configuration changes;
- Maintenance activity on hardware and software systems;
- Preparations, documentation of production and update for site survey;
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in IT
- MS Windows server installation, configuration and administration (Win2k3 onwards);
- Hardware knowledge and physical installation. Fault-finding to Field Replaceable Unit level;
- Database (Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, MySQL, SQL Server);
- Storage technologies SAN/NAS (e.g. Netapp and EMC);
- MS Active Directory configuration and administration;
- Citrix and Linux (RedHat) configuration and administration
-Telecommunications protocols and technologies GSM / GPRS / 3G / UMTS / 4G (LTE) / PSTN / SS7 / E1 / T1;
- Excellent written and spoken English;
