Position Purpose & Summary

This position will work across the Food Ingredient & Bio-Industrial (FIBI) Enterprise - to govern Master Data setup and maintenance specific to the BU. The role requires a skilled Analyst who will manage and execute the business data requirements, which requires close partnering with all business functions, and the Master Data Management organization.
In addition, they will be responsible for on-going FIBI Master Data accuracy/quality, and ensuring enterprise, and local data policies are communicated and enforced, as well as participating actively in small projects. They will also serve as the liaison between the Business Unit and MDM (i.e.: CRUD). They will also be responsible for analyzing BU data, configurations, and metrics to identify data and/or process improvement opportunities.

Principal Accountabilities

Data Analysis and Execution:

Submit requests for new or existing FIBI Master Data through the CRUD workflow portal and complete the local data setup for business data by coordinating with BU contacts to obtain such data. Govern Master Data setup/configuration for FIBI. Partner with MDM, and other CBS functions, as well as Business stakeholders on the execution/maintenance of Data setup.

Data Governance & Quality:

Monitor overall health of FIBI Master data. Identify Data Quality issues, perform analysis, and lead the cleansing efforts.

Data Projects:

Participate in Enterprise/Business projects that have a Master Data workstream. Lead and/or execute against Master Data workplan. Get involved with Regression Testing of Corporate updates to the SAP system: test system functionality post SAP TC2 upgrades, updates or patches, applicable to set of applications used by FIBI.

Process Improvement:

Identification of Data and/or Process opportunities owned by the BU via audits, and metrics/trending. Responsible for evaluating, re-designing and implementing improvements within area of scope.

Miscellaneous: Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of business process experience
3+ years of Shared Service center environment experience
3+ years master data experience
Business experience in a Data Analyst role
SAP experience (as a user or implementation project team member)
Work experience across multiple lines of business and/or within I/T function
Previous experience leading, organizing, and presenting within groups
Demonstrated strong analytical skills
Demonstrated decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to break down complex issues
Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot and problem solve data, and system related issues
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate the organization to identify where expertise resides; ability to work with cross functional teams
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, and operate in ambiguous situations
Good understanding of and commitment to internal controls
Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated with collaborative working style at the same time with ability to work independently
High degree of computer literacy, MS-Office Excel in particular
ERP experience, SAP and/or JDE
Master Data object knowledge of customers, vendors and materials
English – B2 level
Experience executing business processes in manufacturing industry
Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements, and identify data patterns, trends and risk
Demonstrated behaviours of a curious, logical thinker
Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority
Knowledge of quality improvement or process improvement tools and techniques or willingness and aptitude to learn them (i.e.: Lean, 6 Sigma)
Proven ability to behave in accordance with Cargill values and ethics
