This compute specialist will support the Swiss FAST-IT team on the pre-sales opportunity development of full intend driven compute/storage architectures. Key elements of such an architecture include UCS, HyperFlex, Converged Systems (ex. FlashStack, FlexPod), automation with UCS-D, smart workload placement with Turbornomics (CWOM) etc .Rather early in the engagement process we will introduce traceability and instrumentation capabilities for key applications, all workloads and the current communications in place (provider application – consumer).


Responsibilities:
Build and configure modern data center architectures in our demo environment for specific customer presentations.
Support the local System Engineers in building new environments, labs or demo flows.
Write Scripts (pref. in Python, Ansible, Chef & Puppet) to integrate and automate tasks.
Assist the local team in customer technical escalations with the TAC and keep the customer sentiment up.
Prepare and hold workshops and run learning classes with customer and partners.
Integrate Cisco and 3rd Party technologies to address customer requirements ex. a data protection solution
Working with Engineering to diagnose and resolve critical issues.
Introduce CSM, MultiCloud PSS (if applicable).
Agree on metrics (software adoption, up-sell, cross-sell opportunities).
Offer solutions to issues that may be non-standard/non-routine and require extensive clarification.
Maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of client products and services.
Attend training sessions on new products and/or updates ad required.
Successfully complete training activities to maintain technical expertise, and broaden product knowledge.

Requirements:
Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, MIS, Mathematics, Physics, or other equivalent (an emphasis on software design and programming practices preferred).
Passion for technology, creative thinker and problem solver.
Center certified, well experienced in compute and storage platforms.
Strong skills in communication, influencing, organizing, and highly self-motivated.
Demonstrate leadership, interpersonal skills and team work. You have the ability to work in collaborative environment – all with a positive attitude.
Strong technical knowledge in one of the following: software, hardware, and networking, particularly troubleshooting, repair, sales, etc.
Prior experience in customer service or call center environment.
Working knowledge of client technical systems.
Solid understanding of computing technology including hardware components, data storage, operating systems, software applications, common peripheral devices, and external connectivity.
Process knowledge, assessment, design and documentation skills.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Solid analytical, technical, and project management skills.
Must have proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Fluent in English
