Position Title: Lead Software Engineer (.NET) - Solution Development


We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Solution Development team.

What you'll be doing

Working for a global organization in this role you will be responsible to lead a team of developers for the development and delivery of multiple software solutions through a delivery model to an agreed timescale and quality. You will ensure best practice approach to developments and delivery of solutions and continued improvement of technical standards. Being a Lead Software Engineer you will be required to design and implement new products as well as maintain the legacy ones. You will also mentor external and internal team members, provide training on area of technical and product expertise and be responsible for constant improvement of the level of knowledge and skills within the development teams. Note that although the role requires some management skills it is technically oriented and most of the time perform hands-on activities within .NET stack.

Essentially you will:
Lead a team of .Net developers along with being able to perform hands-on tasks
Write efficient, secure code - primarily in .Net
Participate in Architectural Planning and active contribution and justification to the technical strategy to deliver solutions
Write technical specification documents for the project, when needed
Review Code and provide supervision/mentoring of Junior/Mid-level/Senior SW Engineers
Provide input for resource planning process
Motivate and support team members through coaching and mentoring to meet their targets and growth
Support performance appraisal process, talent reviews and reward process for the employees in the team
Take an active role and responsibility in the selection, development, management and motivation of the team members to ensure optimal capacity, skills and performance
Adjust priority of projects, tasks and assignments within their team to meet agreed deliverable and timelines
Contribute to and occasionally produce functional specifications and subsequent communication of the designs to the development team to enable efficient build of the solutions
Populate and report on time according to project standards timesheets and issues trackers
Resolve Client incidents of a complex nature and root-cause analysis supplied and acted upon in future solutions
Adopt a consulting approach towards client and provide demos to client to gather feedback.

What you'll bring
6+ years of professional experience in software development (.Net)
2+ years of leading technical teams
Strong understanding of Agile Software Development approaches
Very good technical architecture experience within software development (i.e. Capable of designing basic framework, classes, interfaces, etc.)
Experience of leading a cross-functional modern engineering squad within a medium-large IT organization; ability to facilitate the outcome of the squad are essential.
Strong experience in implementation of CICD processes
Strong understanding of design patterns, implementation patterns and integration patterns
Strong process understanding of software development
Practical experience of deploying & debugging applications
Ability to suggest changes to requirements, designs and processes from a technical perspective
Experience in Database
Experience with Azure, Kafka and Dockers is highly desirable
A product focused approach to software development
Positive mindset, confidence, and the collaborative ability to tackle challenges
Very good presentation skills
Fluent level of English with strong written and verbal communication skills
