The Finance & Payroll team of TELUS International Europe (TIE) is a fully-fledged finance division of the leading BPO provider in Bulgaria and Romania – TELUS International. The division consists of 35 professionals (located in Sofia and Bucharest) covering all areas of finance, accounting, pricing and procurement. We run SAP, Workday, SFDC, our financials are audited by a Big 4 auditor, and we partner with 4 large international banks and operate in a global company with a footprint on 4 continents.

Today, we are hiring for the role of Operational Accountant.

Your responsibilities:

- Diligently record daily bookings for business transactions as per IFRS
- Responsible for the preparation and review of the weekly disbursement schedule
- Prepares orders for payments to suppliers and the state budget, ensure the maker-checker process is adhered to
- Apply critical thinking to ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
- Account for financial transactions, run month-end bank freezes and bank reconciliations
- Contributor to the preparation of the interim and the annual individual and consolidated financial statements under IFRS
- The role reports directly to the TELUS International Europe Group Corporate Controller

Our requirements:

- University degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (regardless of industry, BPO would be an advantage though)
- Prior experience with SAP would be an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of the Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation
- Advanced analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Fluency in English
- Advanced skills in Excel
