Acronis offers Professional Services for our Service Providers and Enterprise users to assist with the design, integration, implementation, and on-going operation of Acronis’ backup, disaster recovery, storage, file sync and share, monitoring, and other data protection solutions. One of the key positions we are looking to hire is the Senior System Administrator/DevOps Engineer in Cloud Platform team. You will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing services for our remote data center infrastructure based on open source (Linux, Percona) and virtualization (Virtuozzo, KVM). We use Ansible in our stack, but we also use Bash, Python, Jenkins and TeamCity for automation.

You will have an instrumental role and impact on the Acronis’ success, and because they will be supporting business-critical systems, they must have expansive knowledge about everything that occurs in the data center, including maintenance, operations, infrastructure design and hardware management. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain overall operations and infrastructure of remote data centers by deploying and maintaining software components, monitoring system performance and configuration
Coordinate and execute software installation, upgrade, configuration, migration, update and patch production for Linux systems
Maintain data center and network integrity
Configure backup routines, restoration of host operating systems and applications, and test recovery procedures for infrastructure components
Analyze, isolate, and troubleshoot issues. Quickly resolve escalated incidents and provide technical assistance for inquiries regarding problems, errors, or questions about software, hardware, systems, and infrastructure
Evaluate and recommend new approaches to system administration, including procedural changes, future software needs and automation tools to enhance productivity
Predict the risk/impact of any major changes by conducting and analyzing reporting on performance and capacity planning
BUILD AUTOMATION AROUND ALL OF THAT so that whatever we do, do it best!


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of experience as SRE/DevOps or System Administrator and handling DC Operations with critical business applications
Experience automating Operations infrastructure with Bash and Python
5+ years of Linux OS experience. Must have fundamental Linux OS skills and experience, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, patch maintenance, security and recovery
Bachelor’s degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
Ability to work with and configure networking and routing protocols and operations such as TCP/IP, DHCP, firewalls, troubleshooting, patch maintenance, and recovery
Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and manage virtualization environments (VMware ESXi) and/or Linux Kernel-based hypervisors (KVM, Virtuozzo) is recommended
Provide support in performance monitoring, reporting, Root Cause Analysis, and resolution for technical issues
Understanding of application and storage servers setup and configuration, and database administration
Linux (RHCA, RCHE or RHCSA) or other SA certification is a strong plus
Demonstrated good judgment and proactive approach in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create technical documentation and system diagrams
Ability to prioritize workload and tasks to effectively meet deadlines, and ability to lead, and own projects
Ability to collaborate with an international team working across multiple locations
