Global Security Lead is primarily responsible for design and operations of IT security solutions as well as managing security tools and processes. This individual provides direction to Security and Information Technology staff and participates directly in responding to system events and alerts. The person works collaboratively with TELUS International’s Information Technology and business departments.

Your responsibilities:
Design, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computers systems, networks and information
Collaborate with your global peers in several nations to execute projects and achieve results
Identify and define system security requirements with assistance from direct manager
Perform assessments and write comprehensive findings for manager review and consideration
Develop technical solutions and enhance security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks. Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
Provide Incident Response activities for organization and coordinates with other IT teams and business units to record and report incidents. Support efforts to recognize intrusion attempts and perform thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
Assists with implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls.
Work on Proof of Concepts and provide detailed feedback to team to ensure the best possible controls are in place.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams regarding potential intrusions and compromises to the network infrastructure, applications and operating systems and prepares incident reports of analysis results.
Maintains current knowledge of a broad range of security technologies as assigned
Our requirements:
5-10 years of experience as a Technical Security Generalist in areas such as security engineering, incident management, vulnerability management, architecture, infrastructure security operations, intrusion detection/prevention, firewall administration, network operations, and other relevant disciplines.
Successful candidate will be able to support Data Loss Prevention(DLP), File Integrity Monitoring (FIM), Intrusion Detection Prevention Systems (IDPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems; monitoring, analyzing, and investigating security incidents.
Consistently taking on activities in Security Engineering, Architecting, and Operations.
Understanding of advanced computer science including: encryption, databases, operating systems, and networks.
Passionate about information security and privacy.
Well versed in security issues affecting data centre operations, such as cloud and mobile technology solutions
Committed to an ongoing partnership with other high profile groups within the organization (eg software development, infrastructure) to insure information security objectives are being understood and embraced
Ability to anticipate problems and recommend decisive action
Self-motivated with good organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
Self-driven, creative, and resourceful
Excellent English language skills

Proven ability to meet internal and external deadlines
In depth knowledge of regulatory and business compliance standards including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, FISMA, FIPS 199/200, NIST 800-53, HITRUST, SSAE18 is essential
Demonstrated attention to professional development by obtaining industry recognized credentials such as PCNSE, CISSP, CISA, CISM, PMP, and other certifications is highly preferred
Candidates with Palo Alto Networks experience will be highly preferred
Willingness to travel globally up to 15% of the time
Possess a valid EU passport
Ability to pass a background and security check
