This role is for designing, developing and implementing new as well as maintaining existing MS Office VBA Macros (Excel, Access, etc.) that are supported and managed by the Global Business Services center. Examples of these macros range from basic automation of Excel/Access to complex interaction between several Office applications and with internal ERPs (e.g. Impulse, SAP). This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and capability to articulate and communicate the status of projects and technical aspects of the work to a non-technical audience.Responsibilities, Supporting Actions & End-Results
Develop new macros and convert business requirements into efficient VBA code.
Perform tests on every macro build and administer unit tests on macro builds to make it ready for code review. Once the build passes code review, the role is also expected to perform the prescribed User Acceptance Test (UAT).
Maintain existing VBA Macros and support the debug, maintenance and enhancement of existing macros. Develop code that addresses issues and/or upgrade the functionalities of the macro.
Design macros and provide recommendations on macro architecture and make sure it complies with the standard design principles followed by the team.
Job Qualifications and Educational Requirement
Bachelor’s degree with an IT emphasis is preferred.
2-4 years’ experience in IT is preferred.
Detail oriented, able to work effectively under deadlines in changing environment.
Highly proficient in ability to write complex modules in MS Office VBA.

- VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
