As a senior member of a national team providing operational support to TELUS systems, you are a highly motivated and energetic individual with server administration experience in a Microsoft Windows Server (2003 to 2016). In this role, you will be responsible for providing Tier 4 technical support in both development and production environments. Your main tasks will include project system installation and configuration, implementing and testing of upgrades, patches and scripts, developing the documentation, providing technical support and resolving incidents and performance problems.

Your responsibilities:

- Managing multiple Active Directory forests
- System implementation and adoption of tools and standard operating procedures
- Implementation and test of patches and system upgrades
- Development of documentation, securing the environment, assuming system responsibilities
- Provision of support and resolve of technical problems
- Direct communication with customers in an effective and professional manner

Our requirements:

- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Server (2003 to 2016)- AD, DNS, DFS, GPO, RDS
- Experience in deploying new Windows servers (2012, 2016, 2019)
- Strong knowledge in VMware vSphere, vCenter and ESXi (5.1, 5.5 and above)
- Confident in building new solutions from scratch (MS, VMware, Third Party)
- Strong knowledge in at least one server hardware family – HPE, CISCO, IBM. Blade enclosures and stand-alone servers - configure, support and upgrade
- Experience in design and the architecture of small- and mid-scale deployments
- Knowledge in NetBackup, McAfee ePO and Splunk is an advantage
- Knowledge in System Center Configuration Manager is an advantage
- Able to adapt and acquire new skills quickly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high paced work environment
- Very good verbal and written skills in English
- University degree in a related field and MCSE/MCSA/MCITP certifications are an asset
