We are looking to hire an Experience Design Intern for our team. This is a 3-month paid internship with an opportunity to transition into a full-time Junior Experience Design role at the conclusion of the internship. You will be joining a team of uniquely intelligent designers and technologists and will help support the design, development and implementation of intuitive mobile, web and custom software experiences for a wide range of clients and organizations. The internship program will focus on growth and learning within the areas of responsive web design, native mobile application design and usability research and validation.

The Experience Design internship will offer you opportunities and challenges across our core Experience Design competencies. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is excited to learn, isn’t afraid of a challenge, and is looking to take the next step in their career. You will have the opportunity to expand your technical skills in the areas of usability research, rapid prototyping, responsive and native design, and testing and validation, and also improve your soft skills including presenting, collaborating and working within a diverse team.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience designing low and high fidelity wireframes, visual designs and prototypes of digital experiences
Experience solving complex problems through user-friendly workflows and intuitive interactions
Experience with common design tools, including but not limited to Sketch, InVision, Adobe CC Suite, etc.
Demonstrated skill across core visual competencies, with attention to detail around typography, spacing, and color
Basic understanding of human-centered design principles and methods
Ability to explain and qualify your design decisions based on data, research and best practices
Ability to sketch and prototype multiple concepts in a short amount of time, assessing viability and iterating upon learnings
Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
Bonus points if you have:
Experience working with clients on real-world products
Experience working with animation and high-fidelity prototyping tools
Experience designing within design systems and working with reusable components
Experience with facilitation and requirements definition, specifically during ideation phases
