Job Description

We are currently looking for a Programme Manager to join our Experian Data Quality Team.

Purpose:
The role is responsible for owning the delivery of two (out of four) programmes within the Experian Data Quality portfolio. The role influences the programme design and structure, and partners with stakeholders to deliver the agreed scope outlined in the relevant product roadmaps.
They are expected to support business stakeholders in planning and managing the deliveries.
The Programme Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, programme design, the programme plan, execution, resource management, risk and issue management, quality, communications, stakeholder management, budget and quality standards and practices, and the assurance of all these for product development related work.
· Ensures that all programme management processes and procedures are adhered to on the programmes and related product roadmaps.
· Delivers exemplary stakeholder management, likewise for all sponsors and steering committees.
· Develops and builds relationships with senior stakeholders and aid and influence decision making.
· Works with the Programme / Product Managers to coordinate cross-product dependencies, including those with programmes outside the portfolio.
· Plays an active role in co-ordinating and mentoring project staff in the development, monitoring, update and execution of development delivery plans.
· Enhances the departmental capability by recommending and implementing process improvements within the programme teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Programme Planning & Management
· Delivery of programmes according to agreed time, budget, scope and quality criteria.
· Ensuring the development of accurate plans and budgets, finding improvements to efficiency and effectiveness in the use of resources, reporting variances to senior management where there is likely to be a significant impact on agreed delivery parameters.
· Effectively controlling the issues, risk, dependencies and changes in scope associated with programmes, ensuring timely intervention and communication to stakeholders.
· Conducting regular reviews of outcomes, both internally with the programme team and with clients or senior stakeholders during and after the delivery has been completed.

2. Stakeholder Management
· Providing input into decision-making at a senior level
· Developing communication disciplines as appropriate for the programme.
· Ensuring stakeholders are provided with appropriate timely advice during and after delivery.
· Effectively and accurately escalating and communicating risks and issues as appropriate.
· Drives and executes escalation resolution.

3. Matrix Management and Practice Improvement
· Providing technical and managerial leadership, mentoring, coaching and performance management of staff to ensure continual improvement in the skills necessary to manage projects.

4. People management and team development
· Working collaboratively and constructively with your peer group and the Experian Data Quality leadership team to solve business and resource challenges.
· Support the Team Managers to ensure the team is developed, trained, motivated and is collectively working to achieve the goals of the organisation.
· Managing any contractors/third party vendors within the programme, ensuring that results are delivered to expectations at the best value for money.
· Champion a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business. Ensure that by leading by example, you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of customers.


Qualifications
· Strong understanding and application of agile working practices.
· Strong understanding and application of Programme and Project Management competencies including
· stakeholder management, contract management, scope, schedule, costs, quality, HR, communications, risk, procurement, and integration
· Effective leadership, coordination, motivation, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
· Strong ability to manage relationships whilst maintaining trusted relationship with team and peers
· Ability to achieve improvements in delivery quality, staff motivation and role flexibility and can operate equally well at strategic or operational levels
· Proven ability defining and executing on the Programme's purpose and direction in terms of vision, mission, values and objectives
· Ability to identify and manage resource requirements
· Knowledge of business unit products and operations
· Advanced oral and written communication skills
· Superb problem solving and analytical skills
· Excellent multitasking abilities
· Strong leadership and influencing skills
· Technical background in software development desirable
· Leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) product knowledge desirable
