Acronis software is used in 145 countries around the world and available in up to 25 languages.

We are looking for a Technical Writer who will be part of a growing technology team and be responsible for writing technical documents detailing all SDK capability that will support Acronis Platform.

Your primary focus will be on the creation of documentation and samples that will facilitate developers in using Acronis software. Additionally, this role requires an understanding of technical details and the ability to write documents required for internal and external users.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop API and SDK documentation
Write non-technical overview descriptions of components and services that provide other development teams with a summary of what the products do, and how to use them
Write online help and user/administrator guides in English, from scratch, in parallel with software development
Create other documentation for enterprise-level software products (best practices, hardware configuration guides)


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree preferably in engineering, IT, or linguistics
Experience in technical writing or programming 1+ year
Knowledge of REST, JSON, OAuth 2.0
Experience in documenting Web APIs
Knowledge of any programing language like Python, JS, Java, Go…
Knowledge of any version control systems (Git/SVN/Perforce…)
English at a level no less than "Upper-Intermediate"
An eye for detail and consistency


WOULD BE A PLUS:

Familiarity with something from the list: Linux, MS SQL, MS Exchange, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, RHEV, Citrix), Active Directory
Knowledge of any other programming language
Knowledge of RAML (or OpenAPI), reStructuredText, Sphinx
