Position Title: Junior Database Developer - BI Team

We are currently looking for a Jr. Database Developer to upport us with data processing related code (mainly but not only stored procedures in T-SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL), to facilitate data analysis, loading, transforming etc. Challenges are - processing large data volumes in efficient and scalable way, design for flexibility, following best practices to develop clean, maintainable and well documented code. The position implies using industry standard source control systems, best practices in software development lifecycle and acting as a part of SCRUM team. The role requires understanding and analysing requirements, proposing designs and solutions, investigating issues and fixing bugs, working in close collaboration with QAs, Product owner and the BI architect.

Responsibilities:
Gathering and assessment of requirements
Develop data processing related code
Database analysis
Install and configure Experian product with regards to reporting facilities
Data warehouse modelling, Data model design and implementation (ERD / LDM / PDM)
Support the development of reports, documents and dashboards
Provide high level estimate and risks of the solution designed
Maintain documentation of the work package

Requirements:
Database knowledge (SQL Server and/or Oracle and/or PostgreSQL)
Programming languages - PL/SQL or/and T-SQL or/and PL/pgSQL experience
Knowledge of Atlassian stack products (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket)
Appreciation of all aspects of BI – from business requirements down to front end reporting tool set all the way through to back end databases and source systems
Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Strong analytical and numerical skills, demonstrable understanding of data.
Knowledge of Agile process and organization of work
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multi-cultural and remote team – must be able to build trust with other members of the team, fluency in English - verbally and in writing
Good team player – working closely with the application developers, product owners and product managers
