Position Title: BI Architect

Responsibilities:
Elicit and understand the data warehouse reporting requirements from clients / regions and other teams and decide in collaboration with requirements owners which requirements will become part of the global BI product offering.
Input into the enterprise understanding of that data and how it is used – such as canonical data models, data lineage, data dictionaries, user metric guides, and liaise accordingly with stakeholders.
Design, create, review and approve our BI Industry Logical Data Models to cater for our different Industry client needs.
Provide the best practices, reference architectures and standards for modelling our data from sources to required target state – covering logical data models, physical data models, dimensions and fact design, user views and reports, and measure our developments of these against our set standards.
Define and create processes that are related to the testing of data warehouses – automated testing, volume and performance testing, BI related test scenarios.
Assist with the creation of improvement of processes for implementation, delivery and support of our data warehouse and reporting products.

Requirements:
Great in depth understanding of data warehouses – a number of successful implementations of these under their belt and preferably on a number of different technology stacks.
The ability to understand “The Bigger Picture” – from business requirements down to front end reporting tool set all the way through to back end databases and source systems.
Able to compare and contrast between different data warehouse products, such as ETL tools, Reporting tools, databases etc.- from a technical and non-technical perspective, as well commercially.
Ability to create architecture roadmaps for DWH and reporting products, create the plans and validation of the plans underpinning these roadmaps.
Data Warehouse modelling techniques – Inmon / Kimball dimensional modelling.
Experience with large transactional data volumes, and the types of solutions that support these in data warehousing.
Use of great engagement skills with both business and technical colleagues in order to be able to deliver what provides best value to our clients and regions.
Ability to define test criteria and scenarios to development teams.
Appreciation or understanding how Agile BI projects work.
Understanding of continuous integration / automated testing and deployments in BI.
Implementation of multi region and multi countries systems.
Scrum master / BI Team leadership skills experience
Background of developing financial and bank systems
BI implementations on Cloud
University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Fluency in English
