My SQL/MS SQL DBA
What you'll do:
Ensure availability and performance of Database Server estate
Manage a wide range of databases as a part of a day-to-day function including, but not limited to - MySQL, MS SQL & Aurora.
Provide support and assistance to product development teams in designing and operating their databases
Performance tuning and optimization of complex transactional SQL
Assist with cloud migration and cloud database management, including automation
Maintain retention, backup and verification policies and procedures

What we
need you to have
Previous experience as a DBA supporting MS SQL, MY SQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora
Understanding of Clustering, High Availability, Disaster recovery and Database principles
Installation, configuration and management of database systems on premise and in AWS cloud
Experience with database monitoring, debugging, performance tuning
In-depth working knowledge and optimization of advanced transactional SQL, T-SQL, including stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions

Desirable Skills:
Basic understanding of SAN/RAID storage architectures
Cloud experience (AWS RDS & EC2 experience preferable)
Experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
Interest in SQL Server on Linux/Containerized SQL Server
Working knowledge of AD
