BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER

Position summary

This position is a part of the Management Information and Decision Support (MIDS) domain, with specific focus on enabling management information, business intelligence & analytics competencies.
The Management Information domain is a new and developing domain within the organisation, with the primary purpose is to reduce time to insights. The Management Information team’s objective is to invest in the core capabilities of data management, data engineering and information products enabling decision support to ensure we are bringing timely, accurate and actionable insight to our Finance and Business partners.
The BI Developer brings technical data management ability to the team to enable sourcing, transforming and presenting data to business. This role will be back end focus and is critical in enabling sustainable MI & BI solutions irrespective of various visualization tools being employed.

Major Tasks:

• Support the plan and processes to effectively manage data, data engineering, and financial analytics across the region
• Ensure that technology deployment supports the MI strategy and is leveraged in the best possible way to deliver on data ambitions.
• Influence Cargill/EMEA global data strategy and global group data strategy
• Build & standardize data capabilities across teams in the region to enable consistency and quality control of key business data
• Build the data mart that enables information products across business to meet reporting needs within businesses
• Executes on ingestion, preparation and publishes core data sets across various business functions.
• Partner globally and cross-enterprise to leverage scale, expertise, and best practices
• Achieve and continuously improve span of control and fragmentation of work targets
• Develop/Implement a strategy to increase the reuse of financial solutions
• Enable the move up the curve from reporting to dashboards (self-service) to streamlined data with advanced analytic tools
• Team collaboration & support:
• Function in an agile environment.
• Enable the delivery of Information products by partnering with product owners & data visualization colleagues.
• Pro-actively identify areas of improvement.
• Troubleshooting – play an active role in resolving user & data issues.
• Support a culture of intellectual curiosity and continuous leaning to meet self and team individual development goals

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information or Computer Sciences
• Minimum 3 years Data / BI / Analytics
• Data management technology – SQL / Oracle / SAP Hana / Hadoop / SSIS
• Experience in ETL/ELT technology and application
• Knowledge of data analytics tools – PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx
• Proven track record implementing BI solutions
• English Proficiency
• Proven ability to develop partnerships and effectively influence change across a broad stakeholder network
• Strong understanding of business value creation by leveraging disparate data sourcing and enabling business decisions.
