Introduction

Essential duties:
Lead, inspire and develop a team of 5 risk data analysts;
Lead the development of financial crime rules to detect and prevent fraud and money-laundering;
Analyze proposed new business products and markets to identify potential risks and make recommendations on how to mitigate them;
Cooperate with other teams to develop and deploy machine learning models;
Develop a Consumer Risk data-based analytics framework (such as complex automated risk rules, machine learning models, credit scoring, etc.) of Consumer Risk Analytics team through leveraging both internal and external data to support product growth via managing financial loss and building revenue;
Report to Head of Consumer Risk Analytics and Governance, keeping track of fraud trend changes from data readings by deep-diving into (statistical and empirical) readings on product dynamics and uncover potential hidden risks;
Work alongside internal partners on developing and implementing analytics framework. Including but not limited to ensuring proper risk rules are implemented, periodic risk rules validation, and ensuring valid & proper data quality for risk rules inputs;
Explore potential external partners which can support product growth and build the analytics framework for such partnership through leveraging available external data.

Your profile:
Overall minimum 5 years’ experience in FinTech/ Banking industry on a similar position;
Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Data Analytics/Data Science, Economics, Business or related field with an outstanding record of academic success;
Master’s Degree in Quantitative Finance or similar will be considered an advantage;
Extensive experience in creation and maintenance of risk rules within an real-time decisioning risk engine;
Affinity for working with quantitative data, aiming to identify fraudulent payment transactions and prevent financial losses for the company;
Ability to work under load and able to do both historical analysis as well as ’forward thinking’ on building up risk analytics framework;
Experience in statistics/decision management is preferred;
Experience in model implementation is desirable;
Experience working with business areas on the development and delivery of advanced analytics products to drive business outcomes;
Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills, especially with respect to clearly communicating complex data-driven topics with stakeholders at all levels of the organization with both technical and non-technical backgrounds;
Working knowledge of the latest data science trends, tools and methodologies;
Previous experience in implementation of and operating with a top-industry risk engines;
Highest levels of personal and professional integrity at all times;
Advanced analytics, SQL, and/or Python is a must;
Advanced MS Office package skills;
Fluency in English both written and verbal is a pre-requisite.
