You will be part of:

IBM Multi-Vendor Support is looking for high-energy and passionate individuals to join our growing Open Source Software technical support teams. We provide 24x7 Remote Technical Support to IBM’s Enterprise clients for many popular Open Source Software projects.
IBM OSS support works with IBM’s largest clients providing technical and project guidance, diagnosing defects, helping with configuration issues and advising on upgrades for 3 major categories (Business Applications, Container and Configuration Management & Software Development and Data):

• Review of architecture and design where software is implemented
• Research, understand, and advocate open source software
• Interact with relevant open source communities
• Be a part of the on-call rotation (roughly once a quarter for one week or alternate shift)
• Present knowledge via articles, blogs, and conference presentations

You will learn directly from senior level support engineers and through interaction with Open source developers.

You will be considered successful if you have:

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer science or similar technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical support role – Remote support or Administration.
• Very good command of spoken and written English (B2-C1 level).
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and web navigation.

Proficiency in multiple OSS products and technologies (could include Wildfly, Java EE, ActiveMQ, Spring Framework, Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Redis, MongoDB, Ansible AWX , Kubernetes, Docker, NGINX, Machine Learning, Jenkins, Puppet, Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka, drupal, Ceph, OpenJDK

It will be considered as advantage if you have experience with:

• Participation in one or more Open Source Community Projects (support forums or git participation)
• working knowledge of Linux-based web hosting and Linux environments
• Familiarity with one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, R, Node or experienced in SQL and NoSQL database support or admin
• cloud integration experience very desirable
