The Lead WordPress Developer will be working with a large software team to help drive the digital transformation of the company. Based in Sofia, S/he will be reporting to the London-based Head of Development. This role will manage a team of WordPress engineers to develop large multi-site platforms across the business of the company.

This person should have leadership experience and at least 5+ years of developing solutions using JS, PHP and related technologies. Experience in WordPress (multisite) and React would be an advantage.

What you'll do:
Be responsible for 10+ WordPress developers
Collaborate with the Head of Development, Head of Digital and Business Analysts on a daily base
Work with the wider business to clearly articulate the bigger picture and most suitable way forward using technology
Ensure that all recommended solutions and technologies are scalable and in line
Provide hands-on expert level assistance to software developers in relation to technical issues
Promote and coordinate technical knowledge harvesting within the organisation by defining, communicating and enforcing design/coding standards
Monitor new technology trends and identify new technologies
Nurture the teams you are working with and promote a culture of teamwork

The person, we are looking for is:
Fluent in English (written & spoken)
An Expert in WordPress and its integrations
Friendly, influential and with a collaborative approach to the people
Able to be politically and technologically neutral when making decisions
Always striving to move the technology stack forward
A good communicator who can articulate complex technologies to stakeholders
Enthusiastic, resilient and have a passion for the power of data in a real-world environment
Adaptable, a fast learner and good team player
With a problem-solving attitude and an analytical mind

Main skills for success:
Bachelor's degree (B Tech)/MCA
Min 5+ years of experience in WordPress/Drupal
Knowledge on eCommerce (Payment Gateways, Shopping Carts, SEO Friendliness Coding, etc.)
Expert in PHP, My SQL, Core PHP, WordPress (multisite), Drupal, Joomla & other open-source tools
Strong knowledge in JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, XML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS
Expert integrations knowledge and knowledge of working with third-party web services
Experience of working in React
