We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our Cyber Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for MS SQL RDBMS environments that include backend databases of mission-critical production operational systems, reporting databases, corporate data warehouse, staging and development databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational readiness of the databases throughout their entire life cycle, including creation, configuration, maintenance, design and implementation of ETLs tasks for loading data from heterogeneous sources/to various destinations, security, performance monitoring and tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution, implementation of backup and disaster recovery strategies.

This person must have exceptional prioritization and time management skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with different levels of the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES:

End-to-end responsibility for corporate data warehouse, including design, ETLs and day-to-day maintenance activities
Design and create database objects, SQL scripts, ETL tasks, maintenance plans
Manage SQL Server databases, including mission-critical production operational systems, reporting databases, corporate data warehouse, staging and development databases
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
Implement and maintain system health and performance monitoring, to ensure high levels of performance and availability
Perform independent code reviews and certify code developed by self and other team members on the project
Communicate with Business Analysts, Project Stakeholders, Database Architect and Architect to best understand the needs for the system

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of work experience developing, deploying and supporting database systems based on Microsoft SQL Server
Deep understanding of relational data modeling
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, performance monitoring and tuning
Knowledge of T-SQL scripting, including development of stored procedures, functions and triggers
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities
Fluent English

Will be a plus:

Knowledge of advanced query optimization techniques, ability to interpret query plans
Experience with building ETL processes using SSIS
Understanding data warehouses design concepts and architecture
