We are looking for a Senior Database Developer to join our Cyber Systems team. The successful candidate will design reliable high-performance MS SQL databases, including taking a leading role in development of company’s corporate data warehouse. You will be responsible for database schema design, development of database objects, design and implementation of ETL tasks for loading data from heterogeneous sources/to various destinations, testing and maintenance of new and existing databases, performance monitoring and tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, implement database objects, high-performance ETL tasks
• Develop complex SQL scripts, without accumulating technical debt
• Troubleshoot and rectify database related issues
• Carry out SQL performance optimization and tuning
• Communicate with Business Analysts, Project Stakeholders, Database Architect and Architect to better understand the needs for the system
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Sometimes provide afterhours support for critical issues
• Perform independent code reviews and certify code developed by self and other team members on the project
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting database systems based on Microsoft SQL Server
• Deep understanding of relational data modeling
• Understanding of data warehouses design concepts and architecture
• Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, performance monitoring and tuning
• Knowledge of T-SQL scripting, including development of stored procedures, functions and triggers
• Knowledge of advanced query optimization techniques, ability to interpret query plans
• Experience with building ETL processes using SSIS
• Understanding of Agile methodology
• Ability to organize and plan work independently and work in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities
• Fluent English
