This position reports to VP of Operations and is a seat on the Technical Management Team with a career path towards Director Level and a seat on the Senior Leadership Team of MentorMate. The long-term outlook for the DCOE is to become the premier data engineering practice in Bulgaria and to progress into the Advanced Analytics space (Data Science/Machine Learning(ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI))

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish, manage, and grow a team and capabilities in the Data & Analytics space
• Collaborate with Senior Technical Leaders to refine and execute MentorMate’s strategic and growth objectives in the Data & Analytics area
• Be MentorMate’s top technical expert in Data Engineering, Data Management and Analytics
• Consult clients and employees in data management, data engineering and Analytics
• Collaborate with Solutions, Design and Development functions in architecture, estimation, consulting and proposals for new and existing clients
• Research and follow technology trends and constantly improve the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence’s capabilities and offerings

REQUIREMENTS
• 7y+ experience in Technology of which at least 5y+ in Data & Analytics
• Experience with large-scale relational and non-relational data management systems
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure related to data engineering and analytics (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Proven track record in successful delivery of cross-functional data management & analytics solutions
• Previous experience in a leadership or management role
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Excellent people skills – demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non technical individuals, both in gathering information and communicating direction and status.
• Ability to lead/organize/manage delivery process for complex technology projects
• Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in architecting, designing and implementing custom data solutions
