Our client is a well-established, growing and international expanding product company within the digital entertainment sector.
It has its HQ in Dublin, Ireland and is presented in other 7 locations in the world, most of them across Europe.
We are looking for a skilled Remote Working Azure Data Engineer / BI to join the high-performance team in Bulgaria.
The team of BI analysts and data scientists transform data into business insights to ensure strategic business decisions and product improvements.
You will be joining a dynamic team consisting of Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Science.
Hybrid working model: fully remote from anywhere | office-based in Sofia, Bulgaria | or partly – upon agreement with the candidate.

The Role
• Be part of the team that looks to build out the company’s next-generation hybrid data platform, using new technologies and techniques to improve our data assets' value and empower employees to innovate.
• Responsible for successfully delivering business intelligence solutions to the entire organization and is experienced in BI development and implementations, data architecture, and data warehousing.
• You will be choosing the right technology and proper data design and implementation in various projects and solutions.
• Demonstrate hands-on skills in processing large data sets, expertise in the data structure, data access patterns, Big Data concepts, cloud computing, and optimization techniques.
• Build robust end-to-end systems with long term maintenance and support of the application in mind.
• Use reusable code modules to tackle problems across the team and organization.
• The Framework you will build will be of significant complexity and an internal team of data engineers (both full-time associates and/or third-party resources) will be there to help you achieve this.

Your Profile
• 3+ years of experience in implementing large scale data projects within the cloud environment (Azure).
• 3+ years of experience with Cloud databases – Azure Synapse (Azure SQL DW) or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for Big Data, relational databases, NoSQL, data lake solutions in Azure Data Platform.
• Strong programming skills using Python
• Experience with developing Streaming and batch mode processes
• Experience in high volume systems
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka
• Experience with data migration to cloud based environment
• Experience with Databricks/Spark
• Microsoft certification will also be considered a strong advantage
