Our client is a well-established, growing and international expanding product company within the digital entertainment sector.
We are looking for a skilled Java Development Team Lead.

Hybrid working model: fully remote from anywhere | office-based in Sofia, Bulgaria | or partly – upon agreement with the candidate.
In this role, you will work as the hands-on team leader of the Development team in Bulgaria.


The Role
• You will help define and analyze business requirements and implement solutions to business needs, ensuring their completion by putting together a robust end to end process.
• You will also help maintain our existing systems, develop new system applications, and improve functionality to ensure high quality in any software releases.
• You will also become an expert in technologies that drive internet giants like Twitter and Netflix.
• You will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of your team with other teams throughout the business.

Your Profile in General:
• You have Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in either Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
• You are passionate about writing good code.
• Extensive experience with developing backend REST software for high load environments.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming.
• Specialist in Java, including streams and lambdas.
• Solid grasp of any of Erlang, Elixir, Scala and Akka will be a great advantage.
• Experience with SQL and writing complex queries and designing data solutions in high concurrency environments.
• Understanding of REST as well as Web Socket based infrastructures including HTTP 2.0.
• Knowledge of HTML 5, JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks, Typescript and Cascading Style sheets (CSS).
