Technical Services Manager
Department: Depositary and Custody – European Depositary Bank Dublin Branch
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
The Role
You will be responsible for the delivery of AIFMD and UCITS custody and technical depositary services for the company, and take full ownership of the successful completion of specific tasks in accordance with depositary and custody procedures and processes.
This will include the delivery of custody operations, billing and technical depositary tasks as required. The role will also have responsibility of managing a small local team initially of 1-3 staff, with scope to grow further.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of approximately 1-3 experienced staff initially, with scope to grow further
Manage the delivery of technical services to a growing portfolio of Mutual, Hedge, Real Estate and Private Equity fund clients
Ensure the daily Cash flow monitoring and reconciliation process is initiated on a daily basis to include:
Download broker counterparty statements and ingest into cash flow monitoring tool.
Identifying and recording new cash accounts and mapping to system.
Reconciling all cash flow movements
Responsible for the monthly billing process for all clients, ensuring invoices are calculated and delivered.
Ensure that all Depositary NAV Packs are updated and saved in appropriate locations
Responsible for the preparation of Depositary and Custody reporting to the senior management team on a quarterly basis for trustee / depositary clients
• Ensure the team is investigating failing trades & contacting sub custodian’s where necessary.
• Monitor corporate events and ensure these are reflected across client’s holdings.
• Oversee FOHF fund trade instructions through the full trade lifecycle adhering to controls and procedures.
• Ensure team meets all client trade and reporting deadlines.
• Oversee the monitoring of custody mailboxes and action any items/notices/requests received throughout the day.
• Ensure all static data and pricing updates are actioned in a timely manner.
• Manage cash account reconciliations for custody clients.
• Manage position reconciliations for custody clients ensuring distributions and corporate actions are processed.
Skills:-
• Preferably 5+ years work experience in a depositary, custody, fund accounting, Investment Manager or similar role. Exposure to Custody operations and cash flow monitoring would be a big advantage.
• Strong industry knowledge and financial services experience, with an understanding of the depositary’s role and responsibilities
• Strong people management experience, along with hands on management of driving teams and projects
• Good interpersonal skills in order to develop strong working relationships with colleagues
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
• A strong attention to detail
• Educated to degree level (or overseas equivalent)
• Fluent English essential
