Position Title: Senior Software Engineer - PowerCurve Advanced Analytics Software Engineering Group

We are looking for Senior Software Engineer to join PowerCurve Advanced Analytics Software Engineering Group. The PowerCurve platform helps companies make better decisions even when operating in a dynamic business environment. It’s a unified, component-based platform for strategy design and execution, enriched with capabilities for credit risk decisioning.

As part of our Advanced Analytics Group we are developing the Decision Store product - a fast and large-scale business solution that will keep the data for every decision ever made by a process (PowerCurve Originations, PowerCurve Strategy Management, Collections) and model in the platform. Our development is based on proven industry technologies for Big Data management and processing. The Decision Store serves as main enabler for customers to consume their own outcome data to audit, report, test and improve decisioning. The team is also working on an analytical framework, which provides a quick and easy way of extending the PowerCurve platform with new Experian and third-party Machine Learning capabilities.

Responsibilities:
Research & Develop high-quality software for the SaaS and on-premise worlds
Produce high quality clean, testable and efficient code
Work closely with Product Owner and Architects to fully capture functional requirements and dependencies
Share knowledge and inspire teammates to improve their technical skills
Drive and foster engineering excellence
Perform code reviews and ensure new code is following established coding practices
Write automation tests as part of development process

Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
Strong knowledge of OOP principles, data structures, algorithms & design patterns
Knowledge and experience with good software development practices (Clean Code, Refactoring, etc.)
Knowledge of collections, concurrency, generics, error handling and persistence frameworks
Expert-level of Java 8+
Experience with CI/CD, Docker and AWS
Experience with Rest API, Spring, Spring-MVC, Spring-Security frameworks
Fluency in English
The following skills will be considered as an advantages:
Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g. Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, Cloudera)
Experience with microservice architectures
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with automation frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber)
