Your Role and Responsibilities
Provide technical support assistance to customers using problem determination/problem source identification (PD/PSI) skills;
Utilize technical and negotiation skills in collaboration with other support operations/organizations to prioritize and diagnose problems to resolution;
Own all client communications worldwide regardless of where service request is generated
Communicate action plans to the customer or IBM representative as appropriate
Recommend and implement new or improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Previous experience and knowledge in z/OS components or subsystems technical support;
Motivation to learn debugging the subsystems software on mainframe, in special the z/OS subcomponents, or DFSMS and its related products;
Willingness to travel a certain amount of time within the first two years for mentoring purposes and to gather special skills and experiences, when required.
Language Requirements: Fluent English (both written and spoken)


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
The ideal candidate would possess:

Knowledge of z/OS, ideally specialized or knowledge in any of the subcomponents or subsystems;
Basic understanding how the different components interact and fit into the operating system architecture;
PD/PSI skills on z/OS subsystem diagnosis using PD/PSI tools;
Skills on zVM or zLinux;
Second foreign language is an advantage;
ITIL certification.
Education Preferences:
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering.
