Senior Technical Support Professional is a key role in the delivery of a proactive IT technology services consulting to keep a healthy Customer environment and relationship.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role you will be assigned to several Customer accounts where your technical expertise will help them use their IT environment more efficiently. Your main work will be focused on three core activities:
– Building an in-depth knowledge about your Customers’ environments by analyzing past trends and performing health-checks
– Communicating analysis and improvement recommendations to the Customers
– Driving resolution of critical Customer problems connecting/networking with the IBM support teams

Occasionally, you will also directly provide technical assistance and account management advice to less experienced Customer personnel.
These services are standardized with defined delivery process, Customers are in EMEA territory (EU time zone), this activity is 9-5 Mon-Fri.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
TECHNICAL PROFILE
Ability to troubleshoot, collect and analyze appropriate logs, dumps, providing how-to answers and performance related advises within one or more following three (a,b,c,) technical areas of specialization:
a.) IBM POWER platform: system administration skills in AIX OS, PowerHA, PowerVM

OR/AND
b.) IBM and MVS Storage platforms

OR/AND
c.) IBM I platform, system admin skills

2. OTHER required SKILLS
*English language fluent in speaking and writing
*Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
*Problem solving and time management skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

*Spanish or Dutch language (B level)
Technical formal degree – preferable in IT science.
3-5 years of IBM AIX related experience.
AIX: middleware (WAS, MQ, HTTPs, LDAP, GPFS) management skills
3-5 years of IBM and MVS Storage related experience
1-2 years of IBM Storwize and IBM FlashSystem related experience
3-5 years of IBM I related experience (sys admin level)
Basic sys admin knowledge of most used AS/400 products (RPG, COBOL/400, SYNON etc.)
Linux: Admin level skill and experience for a major Linux OS (ie. RedHat/SusE)
Client handling/facing experience is preferred
IT technology support delivery experience is preferred
