Your Role and Responsibilities
The FED will be part of the Information Analytics (IA) team in the Sofia CIC. IA is focused on supporting the global TSS strategy through new internal and external offerings in business intelligence, automation and cognitive services.
Responsibilities:

– Specifying, building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting your code;
– Leveraging modern tools and techniques to develop clean, efficient, and reusable code;
– Identifying and addressing design, development, and delivery performance bottlenecks;
– Actively participating in code and design reviews;
– Coaching, educating, and advocating front-end development best practices;

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
– Semantic HTML and modular CSS and JavaScript;
– Cross-browser quirks and compatibility;
– Mobile-first, content driven responsive design and development (i.e., FlexBox, CSS Grid);
– Progressive enhancement;
– Leveraging APIs;
– Testing and resolving performance concerns;
– Building a11y and i18n ready user interfaces;
– Team Git workflow and version control;
– Scrum/agile software development methodologies;
– Unix shell and command line tools;
– Fluent in English – both verbal and written.

Minimum Requirements:

– 1+ years developing with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
– 6+ months developing modular JavaScript


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

– JavaScript Templating Languages;
– CSS preprocessors (i.e., Sass) and advanced CSS concepts (i.e., CSS3);
– Modern JavaScript frameworks (i.e., React, AngularJS, VueJS);
– Knowledge of emerging Web standards;
– Native mobile development;
– Setting up continuous delivery tool chain;
– Package managers (i.e., NPM, Yarn);
– Scrum/agile software development methodologies;
– IBM’s Carbon Design framework.
