Your Role and Responsibilities
• You’ll be managing a team of people aiming at a common goal and striving to achieve challenging client service level agreements (supporting external or internal clients).
• You will have to simplify complex goals and help individuals and teams to align priorities with IBM’s strategic direction.
• You will assign individuals and you will collaborate with other leaders to allocate employee resources in a manner that best meets IBM, project/account, and individual development needs.
• You will be accountable for business results including meeting client satisfaction, productivity, financial, and other business measurements.
• You will foster teamwork and inclusion across organizations, cultures and geographies — and promote IBM’s diversity and inclusive leadership and IBM Values.
• You will support activities and projects involving cross-functional teams which contribute to IBM success.
• You will provide employees feedback to improve performance. Establish clear performance expectations and hold people accountable for results. Recognize contributions by employees and teams.
• You will lead by example in all activities. And you will lead in a manner that enhances IBM’s climate and business results. Support change, encourage employees to innovate, evaluate suggestions, and remove obstacles to implementation.
• You will be responsible for assuring employee equity and encourage employee growth and opportunity.
• You will advise and coach employees to help them develop their skills and capabilities to best meet their career desires and current or future business needs.
• You will analyze and interpret new situations, resolve complex problems independently or through the management of others.
• You will be in charge of staffing as needed and be in charge of the education and re-skilling of the team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Minimum 1 year of previous people management experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills – MS Office
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong customer driven focus- understand the needs of the client and being able to translate them into instructions for the team
• Good presentation skills- be confident and professional into delivering varying messages to a diverse audience (clients, team, upper management)
• Ability to work in a high pressure, dynamic situations, with a large degree of autonomy
• Ability to produce and maintain quality work and documentation
• Previous experience in developing team talent

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Previous experience in IT services environment
• ITIL knowledge and certification
• Previous project management knowledge and experience
