This role will focus on using innovative tools to monitor major merchant relationships, especially in the Crypto-Currency industry.

What you will do:

• Conduct enhanced due diligence on major crypto merchant relationships
• Review crypto merchant relationships using Elliptic and other advanced tools to monitor risk levels and exposure
• Conduct secret shopping with major crypto merchants to test their country exposure, KYC processes, and other Compliance/Risk controls
• Monitor negative regulatory developments with regards to the crypto industry in general and our merchants in particular
• Liaise with other teams in Compliance for further investigations, reviews, requests for information, or suspicious activity reports
• Advise Financial Crime team around suspicious trends and introduction of new rules or models

To be successful you need to have:

• Compliance experience within a merchant-focused role is essential
• Compliance experience within the Crypto industry is a major advantage
• Previous experience in acquiring and other e-money sectors will be considered an advantage
• Strong understanding of Compliance, Risk and Controls frameworks and policies
• Comfortable working independently, with a proactive mindset
• Fast learner, able to quickly understand business processes and identify gaps
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Elliptic or other blockchain forensics tool will be considered a major advantage
• Comfortable working with senior management across the business
