Your Role and Responsibilities
Manage a distributed team of software developers and testers who enable various components of z/OS platform.
The role focuses on ensuring high quality and availability of the component areas as well as partnering with the strategist Solution Lead and CPO on future strategy.
The role includes collaboration with the extended leadership team on organization wide initiatives, potential work with external and internal sponsor users, and customers during critical situations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

A minimum of 5 years of experience in applying knowledge of Software Development practices.
Demonstrated experience in Agile Development methodologies.
Excellent people skills, including negotiating, recruiting, motivating, and team building.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Software development leadership experience practicing Agile principles.
Familiar with IBM System Z offerings.
Ability to effectively problem solve across cross functional teams, influence the adoption of new solutions Experienced in software development methodologies, systems integration and automation.
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and technical staff.
Thrive in a high-pressure environment and effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Team Leadership & Development: Ability to mentor, coach and effectively foster and grow talent on the team Knowledge of Resource Management and Project Management tools.
