The Role:

The role of the Applications Service Desk Engineer is to provide a high level of internal service and application support for APEX application portfolio, building strong working relationships throughout the business and adding value to key business applications.

The successful applicant will be member of a team with service desk engineers. He/She will be responsible for tasks such as allocating and responding to service desk tickets, investigating/resolving issues with the systems, coordinating application support activities in the application support team and other counterparties, 3rd parties and stakeholders. The successful applicant may have the opportunity to become involved in project work also.

As a part of the application service desk and application support the successful applicant will work with development, DBA and other technical teams as well with project and business teams.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Provide application support across number of applications in the Apex group;
Serve as a point of contact to address and resolve various service requests and incidents to maintain positive customer experience;
Prioritize, update and resolve tickets related to the core line of business applications, including troubleshooting incidents and service catalogue;
Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and tools;
Identify and suggest possible improvements in the process;
Work closely with relevant stakeholders and teams to ensure high quality of technical support;
Walk the customer through the problem-solving process;
Provide input to the knowledge base by documenting various issue and incidents and their resolution;
Coordinate and liaise with business, vendors and other technical teams regarding application support tickets;
Escalate complex issues with other technical trams, service providers and vendors;
Support project related tasks.
