Job Description

The purpose of the System Admin role is to work as part of a Central Operations team supporting EDQ’s Saas solutions with 99.95% SLA.

The SysAdmin takes part in managing and running EDQ’s core infrastructure.

You're probably wondering what you'll be doing:

· Providing 3rd line application support for in house written applications. Fixing and documenting, working with DEV teams;
· Responding to and owning/fixing incidents;
· Working with Development Scrum teams on new applications, as a stakeholder ensuring that operational requirements (security/scalability/monitoring/failover) are met and implemented;
· Ownership of Production platform, responsible for maintenance and deployment of new code. Driving to achieve Continuous Integration across EDQ products;
· Ensuring that SLA is maintained, and making improvements to monitoring, scalability;
· Ad-hoc projects around security/servers/infrastructure.

Qualifications

We look for you to bring:

· System admin experience in Windows and Linux;
· Administration of cloud (Azure/AWS);
· Experience working with VMWare;
· Able to work as part of a global 24*7 Operations team;
· Ability to analyse and resolve infrastructure, platform and application incidents;
· Good understanding of security standards & practices;
· Experience of system monitoring/logging/metrics;
· Bachelor’s degree, foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
