Our client:
It is an international company that is building a unique next-generation e-Commerce online microservices platform from scratch. It will be the first platform in Europe that will offer an all-in-one solution for the e-Commerce field and it will also include both SaaS (for small and middle-sized customers) and Enterprise (for big companies) modules.
For that reason, together with the company, we are now looking to hire an experienced:
SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING LEADER
We are looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, team-focused environment where everybody makes a difference every day. In this position you will:
- Work in a small, but still growing tight-knit cross-functional team;
- Leverage Site Reliability (SRE) best practices;
- Lead the team through continuous improvement of production operations;
- Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise;
- Maintain the SRE backlog, report on progress, identify critical issues, setup KPIs, and delegate work as appropriate;
- Structuring short- and long-term work for the team (Road-mapping);
...and other interesting and enough challenging tasks that will allow you to see that your contributions make a real impact on an evolving product.
What should you bring with you?
- Strong professional experience in software engineering, Site Reliability (SRE), or DevOps roles;
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in leading a small team of people holding similar positions;
- Experience with Linux (incl. system administration experience) and ability to solve complex networking issues in a Linux environment;
- Hands-on experience and a good understanding of monitoring, metrics and log aggregation, and alerting tooling (Prometheus, Beats, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Grafana);
- Database concepts and SQL;
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as GCP, Scaleway, and Terraform;
- Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes;
- Good working level of English language (both written and verbal).
