The company continues to thrive in its full glory and therefore they have a need for new professionals to contribute to their workflow. Together with the company, we are looking for the first IT Geek to hold the position of a:
DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
EXCITING is the perfect word to describe this new opportunity. This will be the first hired DBA for the team here in Sofia, Bulgaria. You will be the key person in this position and will be responsible for the design, building, and implementation of new databases. Your responsibilities will include minimizing database downtime, monitoring database performance, implementing changes, and troubleshooting potential problems that affect databases' functionality and related programs. This is an excellent challenge for a person with big dreams and ambitions!
The main requirements for this position are:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator;
- Hands-on experience with one of the following databases - PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server;
- Deep understanding of backup, recovery, database tuning, and data security;
- Good command of the English language.
Experience/knowledge in the following will be a plus:
- Understanding of pl/pgSQL or/and ANSI SQL;
- Some experience or knowledge of scripting programming languages (e.g., Perl, Shell, Bash).
