Job Description

We are looking for Junior DevOps Engineer to join PowerCurve Collections Software Engineering Group. As a Junior DevOps Engineer you will be primarily involved in the evolution and maintenance of the build infrastructure and tools Experian uses to develop & deliver products from our software range, as well as consulting with our teams on best practice.

Qualifications

What you will be doing:

· Under supervision, manage CI/CD systems and their associated infrastructure which are used to facilitate software development
· Contribute towards both maintaining and evolving our build, tools & infrastructure to improve the quality of Experian products and the efficiency of the teams
· Management of local infrastructure, as well as consulting with the development team to produce software applications which are used by internal and external customers
· Act as the liaison between development teams, support and external consultants to facilitate evolution of the software delivery (e.g. release deployment, security testing, etc.)
· Contribute ideas and estimates of tasks (incl. change requests and defects) and risks in alignment with process and team standards.
· Attend and contribute to discussions and backlog refinement (scope, acceptance criteria).
· Research and keep up to date with technologies, practices, components, and tools used by the organization and suggest ideas for reuse within projects and tasks. 
· Understand and follow the development standards and processes used by the team and wider organization.

What you will bring:

· Good knowledge in networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies)
· Good understanding and hands on experience in operating system configuration (Linux, Windows)
· Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, Windows Batch, Shell Script, etc.
· Experience with Git
· Knowledge in continuous integration systems (Jenkins)
· Knowledge in containerization (Docker)
· Knowledge in cloud infrastructure (AWS)

Advantages:

· Experience with software deployment systems (Ansible, Terraform)
· Experience with container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
· Experience with Java build tools (Maven, Gradle)
· Internship or other previous experience in DevOps
