How we’ll help you grow

You will further develop and deepen your experience working with the Linux technology, supporting on one of three architectures, x86-64, Power and System z.
IBM Linux Support gives you the opportunity to experience a broad range of technologies and encourages all of the team members to identify an area where they can establish themselves as a subject matter expert (SME). Our employees got access to a wide range of technical as well as non-technical training courses and certifications.

What you’ll do

You will be working with IBM enterprise clients, who run one of IBM’s supported Linux distributions. These include Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS and Oracle Linux.
As Linux specialist, you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer satisfaction by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.

Please note that the role requires working on US Prime shift.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience within a Technical Support Center environment and support processes and procedures
System administration experience with one or more of the following: Linux/UNIX/AIX; Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenStack, Ansible, Docker, Debian, CentOS, CRI-O, Rancher
Fluency in English – both verbal and written

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

RHCE, RHCSA, UNIX or Linux system administration Certification
