Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you’ll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You’ll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.

You’ll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.

Your primary responsibilities include:

Analyze and translate IT requirements using modernization frameworks into components of a modernized solution
Develop and test applications in cloud environments and be part of Delivery/Engagement teams
Act as a technical consultant and architect for customers in pre-sales & projects
Collaborate in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions and services for our customer’s need
Help engineers to deliver projects that meet customer needs & timeline
Educate customers on best practices in Cloud Migrations and communicating our work approach in a manner that customers understand the value within them
Ensure high-quality delivery, reporting, and business profitability

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Private virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, etc); Windows Server and Linux administration; Active Directory administration; DB administration○Backup and DR systems
Experience in customer facing consultancy and architecture work; Experience and technical understanding of large scale data centre migrations
Vast experience in public cloud solutions (AWS or Azure or GCP)
Previously gained experience as a consultant working with mid-size and large,international organizations
Fluency in English – both verbal and written
