Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you’ll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You’ll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.

You’ll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.

Your primary responsibilities include:

Acting as a technical consultant and architect for customers in pre-sales & projects
Communicating, designing and guiding the migration for our customer, as well as do hands-on implementation when needed
Gathering requirements and defining the challenges for the migration & planning
Working together with sales and project managers to manage the customer expectation from a technical point of view
Educating customers on best practices in Cloud Migrations and communicating our work approach in a manner that customers understand the value within them

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Hands-on experience in the areas of
Private virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, etc); Windows Server and Linux administration
Active Directory administration○DB administration○Backup and DR systems
Experience in customer facing consultancy and architecture work;
Experience and technical understanding of large scale data center migrations; vast experience in public cloud solutions (AWS or Azure or GCP);
Fluency in English – both written and verbal
