For one of our clients - a start-up company that delivers niche services of the highest quality – we’re on the lookout for a Senior PHP Backend Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Delivering clean, scalable code using PHP;
* Conducting periodic system updates and security checks/audits;
* Testing and deploying applications and systems;
* Revising, updating, refactoring and debugging code;
* Developing documentation throughout the software development life cycle;
* Identifying bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions in order to mitigate and address these issues.

Requirements:
* 7 or more years’ of experience as a PHP developer.
* Strong agile development background and understanding of object oriented programming;
* Experience with MySQL, SQLite; RESTful APIs; Linux; Docker;
* Preferably experience with WordPress, including plug-ins and customizations;
* Fluency in English and great interpersonal skills;
