On behalf of one of our clients, largest private telecom, ICT & content service provider, we are looking for a Technical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and evaluate failures and performance decreases on database and application level
• Analyze business requirements and apply changes in stored DB procedures or shell scripts to reflect them in the supported systems
• Develop tools/scripts to automate routine operational tasks;
• Communicate with business users regarding questions, issues, trouble tickets, resolution of problems, new fixes, releases, etc.;
• Work with ticketing system to resolve reported problems or submit such to responsible units in case of failures or tasks;
• Administer, monitor and maintain the supported systems in operation within the required parameters (availability, performance);
• Support testing and production environments, deploy builds and fixes, sanity testing and troubleshooting;
• Monitor application servers and workload, make adjustments if necessary;
• Prepare and execute 24/7 tasks related to billing/rating/batch processing;
• Handle incidents (analyze logs, errors handling, finding resolutions or workarounds within the specified SLAs/OLAs);
• Maintain system documentation, logs and create documentation of own work;
• Notify next levels of support regarding problems raised;
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for the status of the maintained systems.

Requirements:

• University degree in the field of IT/Telecommunication or other relevant;
• At least 1 year of working experience with monitoring/reporting/supporting applications;
• SQL Knowledge (e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) is mandatory;
• Fluency in English – written and spoken.
• Unix/Linux advanced experience is mandatory;
• Experience with Microsoft Access;
