On behalf of our client, ScanJet Services EOOD (part of ScanJet Group – www.scanjet.se), leading global supplier of equipment for tank cleaning and solutions for all marine, offshore and industrial applications ITAMA (Intelligent Tank Management), we are looking for Automation technician / service technician.

Scanjet designs and produces a range of fast and portable equipment for tank cleaning, marine protection systems, high level overfill alarms, tank cleaning systems, tank level measuring equipment and Scanvent P / V valves.

Automation Technician / Service Technician

Main Scope: Your role is to visit ships and facilities for service and installation of technical equipment, which means approx. 120 travel days per year. The service offers very exciting and varied working days. Many different tasks, inspirational trips in an international environment. Your technical interest gets its outlet in challenging problem solving and installation of technical products for tank cleaning, level measurement and alarm systems.

Work tasks are performed in an international environment and include:

• Implement service for all manufactured equipment aboard ships and offshore and onshore industries worldwide
• Support product and projects development, procurement and project departments
• Train other partners in Scanjet Group service network

Main requirements:

• Engineering degree or equivalent with a marine focus at the bottom
• Experience of service in the marine industry is an advantage
• Documented experience of service jobs in automation
• Good oral and written English both
• Experienced in MS Office, CAD software is an advantage
• Experience with sensors and electrical components
• Reading and understanding electrical drawings, PLC errors, is a must
• Experience in maritime activities and previous service work will be preferred
• Structured and independent person, flexible and be able to collaborate with customers and collaborators worldwide.
• Possible to travel minimum 120 days per year many times on short notice
• Valid passports and optional seaman books, driving license are a must
