Position Title: GFS Controls Manager

We are looking for a new colleague to join Experian Global Finance Services (GFS). Recently voted as one of the Top 20 Shared Service Organisations by SSON analytics, we are committed to continuous improvement. Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.

This role is key to supporting the Global Finance Services, ensuring that the control environment is robust and supporting the vision that all Finance Shared Service functions are underpinned by effective and meaningful controls.

Responsibilities:
The role has primary responsibility for ensuring key controls are met through:
Monthly and ad hoc reviews of key control metrics
Controls reviews to ensure the team are operating to robust controls standards
Plus continually:
Reviewing existing controls against Risk control matrix to ensure risks are mitigated
Improving controls and processes throughout the GFS
Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in the accounting processes, share best practice between regions and teams
Ad-hoc tasks to support manager, team and business
Considering new risks, and mitigating controls
Providing support to members of GFS regarding process controls

Requirements:
At least 4 years of similar experience
The ability to influence and drive behaviour towards greater control compliance
The ability to interact with both senior members of management and team members conducting the tasks to achieve the desired control environment
Process audit experience will be considered a strong advantage
Financial reporting skills and experience.
Ability to work with process owners to devise and produce innovative solutions from scoping to handover.
Competent procedure and process writer.
Ability to deliver excellent standard of work under challenging conditions
Team player who also has the ability to work independently
Fluent written and verbal English
