PROJECT ANALYST, STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

Position Summary

As a Project Analyst, Strategic Initiatives you will work closely with the leaders of Cargill’s Transformation Management Office (TMO) to support development and delivery of high-impact, high-value pilot projects that will be implemented across Cargill upon completion. You will partner with Cargill’s senior leaders to develop winning models that drive sustained, profitable growth in an increasingly dynamic Food & Agriculture environment. Combined, your contributions will help Cargill accelerate transformation progress, reach new levels of success, and win more with customers. You will set the pace of change and make Cargill better than the sum of its parts by, build next generation capabilities and generate significant financial value and simplifying how we work and grow.

Major Tasks

Perform problem solving activities, including: Approach, issue tree, and workplan development
Storyline and storyboard development
Industry, competitive, and market analysis
Opportunity sizing
Define and develop common, shared, and/or standardized models and solutions
Implement and operationalize pilot projects to quickly realize scale and scope economies, expand business capabilities, and bring significant value to Cargill
Actively listen to others and learn new professional competencies / capabilities

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree
2 years of experience in project strategy and development within a corporation or leading consulting firm
Strong and demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High sense of accountability, strong will to succeed, demonstrated desire to learn, and pragmatism
Ability to travel, potentially up to 20% when necessary for a pilot project globally
Familiarity with Agile processes, project management standards, and process improvement methodologies
