Our Client is a leading provider of insurance products and services for commercial
and personal insurance customers. It includes one of the world’s most far-reaching property casualty networks. The company offers a broad range of products to customers through
a diversified, multichannel distribution network.
For them we are looking for:

Actuary

The Actuary will Initiates, analyzes, recommends and implements appropriate revisions in actuarial methods and assumptions in areas with significant financial impact. Works independently to develop and implement appropriate solutions to actuarial issues.

Main activities:

• Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects, from start to finish including data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modelling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
• Participate in all monthly, quarterly and annual routines to set the reserves and perform necessary analysis and reporting;
• Analyses historical trends and forecasts future trend.
• Work closely with underwriting departments to develop pricing and underwriting strategies and identify profitable segments in the Company’s portfolio.
• As one of the key team members of the key function, contribute to the fulfilment of Solvency II requirements; this requires close cooperation with other finance functions like risk management, controlling and investment, additional reporting, strict compliance with governance and internal control requirements, etc.;
• Provide proposals and solutions to optimize the risk segmentation in the portfolio. Develop analytical tools to help business effectively manage existing portfolios.
• Monitor product profitability, adequacy of reinsurance arrangements and perform other analysis to support underwriting and reinsurance function;
• Contribution to the maintenance of a proper set-up of an internal control and governance structure (e.g. actuarial function policy, process documentation);

This position is ideal for someone who has strong analytic experience, enjoys the Valuation and Finance side of the Actuarial profession, can work well independently, and has strong communication and presentation skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business or Informatics;
• Relevant work experience, and/or other additional qualification in insurance, insurance mathematics and investments.
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modelling, pricing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending);
• Organizational skills, accuracy, responsibility, confidentiality, loyalty, high self-control;
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
